activity of foreclosure in the area of Cape Coral-Fort Myers, Florida, Metropolitan declined by nearly 22 percent from the previous six months and a decrease by nearly 30 percent during the first half of 2009 but the metropolitan area still documented the nation's second highest foreclosure rate for metro – 4.98 percent of their housing units (one in 20) received a filing during the period of six months. Other Florida cities in the top 10 are No. 8 Orlando-Kissimmee (4.15 percent of units) and Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach subsection 10 (3.89 percent).
A total of 94 466 properties in the Miami area received a filing during the period of six months, a decrease of 8 percent in the last six months, but almost 11 percent of the first six months of 2009. Another property that has received a deposit from exclusion to Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach Greater Miami in the first half of 2010 than any other metropolitan area with a population of 200,000 or more.
